SUMMARY:
Joseph (1823) and Elizabeth Ann (1834) Vennard married about 1854 and had
six children that survived to adulthood. They originally lived in Derrycaw,
but settled in Derrylileagh, Tartaraghan for most of their married life.
Joseph was a farmer and weaver.
1. Mary (1855, Mary had one child prior to her marriage ñ William, in
1880. She married Moses Jackson at Milltown Church in 1883 and they had at
least five children ñ Moses (1883); Elizabeth (1886); John (1887); Mary
(1888); Margaret (1891)
2. Thomas (1859, married Eliza Jane Stevenson at Milltown Church in
1894. Thomas was a Labourer and they had 8 children, 7 at Derrylileagh, and
the final daughter in Portadown town. i) William (1894, emigrated to the USA
in 1920, joined the army, married with one son (Jimmy?). No further
information); ii) Robert Joseph (1896, weaver and soldier, died unmarried in
1918 from gun shot wounds; iii) Elizabeth Ann (1898, weaver died aged 16 in
1915); iv) Maria (1901, emigrated to USA in 1920. Married Joseph Sinnamon,
died Connecticut 1982); v) Mary (1903, married Herbert Stevenson); vi)
Ernest (1905, emigrated to USA but returned to Portadown, Co. Armagh.
Married Ethel Weir and had 4 children. Their son (Bob Vennard) is compiling
information on this branch of the family.); vii) Thomas (1907, unmarried);
viii) Margaret (1909, married Thomas McGary in 1940 and had 4 children).
3. Sarah (c. 1865, married William Duff at Milltown in 1884. No
further information).

Joseph died in 1896 and Elizabeth Ann in 1902 at Derrylileagh, Tartaraghan.
